Review Policies

Thank you for your interest in Bookworm for Kids! Although I work with several book tour companies and publishers, I'm always excited to accept books from other sources for review. Before submitting a request for a review, I ask that you read this entire page. If you happen to have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Almost all books reviewed on this blog are intended for children and youth ages 0 to 18. Occasionally, I have a 'Mom's Day' suggestion, which consists of a book of my personal choice, but these posts are very rare. All books, excluding the ones I present on Mom's Day posts,  must have (what I consider) content for the intended audience. Any books which do not meet these standards will not be accepted for review.

When receiving a review request, I do not guarantee to review the book, but agree to consider it for review. If I decide not to review your book, I will let you know and give you my reasons.

I will not post negative reviews on my site. Not only is it a shame to use my time in such a manner (these reviews and posts do not write themselves), but being a writer myself, I understand how much time, effort and love goes into completing a book. I also know how much of this hangs on personal opinions - just because I don't like something doesn't mean someone else won't. However, if I decide not to review your book, I'll share what problems I had with it if you'd like to know.

All opinions are my own and only my own. I write reviews on my blog simply because I love to read.

I accept e-book copies in the form of mobi or pdf files. I also accept and actually prefer print copies, since I love flipping through pages and reading them in all possible places and weather.

If I accept a book for review, I try to post a cover picture, short blurb, sales links, author picture, author biography as well as any other appropriate links along with my reviews. I do insist that the rights for all images sent to me are owned by the author (or publishing company). If you would like to include a giveaway, that is fine too. I also sometimes agree to do interviews on my parallel writer's blog (Kidbits).

Due to personal reasons, I try to only post up to 2 reviews a week (cover reveals, promotions, and such are posted more often). Because of this, I often have a backlog up to several months and cannot guarantee to post a review within a specific time frame. However, I try to get things in as soon as possible and will inform you of the approximate date as soon as I can.

DISCLOSURE
